Missions

The missions ministry at Sonlight is actively reaching out to our community, city, state, country and around the world. There are many areas where people can get involved.  From local trips, hanging door hangers throughout our community, being involved in church visitation or serving overseas, the opportunities are endless.  Our mission is to share the message of Jesus Christ to our local area, the regional area and to the ends of the earth.

Mexico Trip

Our Mexico Trip this spring was a Great Success. Our Team Mexico 2009  participated in a variety of events from Vacation Bible school to teaching boys auto mechanics.  Many of our team were first time visitors to Mexico and they were given the opportunity to interact with the Children of Bethel Orphanage and the people of San Luis. Thank you for your support and prayers that made this blessing occur.  Please keep in prayer the children at the orphanage and the staff who make it a safe place for these children to learn about our Lord and Savior.

Chad

The Trip to Chad was awesome. Thank you everyone who supported this trip both financially and in prayer.  We felt your prayers. From rebels to rumors, to teaching English, to riding camels, each and every day was different yet totally rewarding. So much happened its still hard to believe we were in Africa.  Please keep our own church family missionaries in prayer and take a minute of your time to e-mail them if you can. Pray for John and Sharon who have been on the field for some time. It was a blessing for each team member to go and return full of memories and the vision of the real need for JESUS in Chad.
