Youth Team (Middle/High School) 

Do you get excited to think that a student’s life could be changed forever by Jesus Christ?  Do you share God’s passion for students’ lives to be ignited with their God-given destiny?  Then check out the many opportunities we have for you to impact a student’s life! 

Our Environments:

Sonlight Students meet weekly on Sunday mornings for a time of worship, relevant teaching, community and lots of fun!

Sonlight Middle Schoolers meet one week night for Life group from 7:00-8:30 p.m. for a more age-specific time of deeper community, reflection and Bible discussion.

Sonlight High Schoolers meet one week night for Life group from 7:00-8:30 p.m. for a more mature environment in which to communicate and relate with one another.

Opportunities:

Life Group Leader — a gifted and trained leader to guide dynamic Bible discussion, promote group life, and help students realize deepening community.

Life Group Apprentice — a potential leader whose desire is to be trained and equipped to eventually be a life group leader.  This person helps the leader with all aspects of the meeting. 

Event Chaperone — a person who possesses organizational skills and likes to travel with students to various events and places  making sure the students are safe and cared for. 

LIFT Ministry Teams — a group of naturally friendly people whose purpose is to make students feel welcome and cared for while trying to plug them into the ministry.  These ministries include:  Check-in Team, Follow-up Team & Response Team.

Ministry Team Leader — a person with the ability to oversee a ministry by recruiting, equipping & engaging adult & student leaders in the responsibilities of that ministry.  These ministries include:  Check-In Teams, Follow-up Teams & Response teams. 

First Steps Discipler — a mature believer who has completed the First Steps program and has the ability and heart to lead a teenager through the program.
